How do I add and remove symbols in the Market Watch window?

The Market Watch window in your trading platform is meant to show all symbols that you have an interest in keeping an eye on.

To help guide you, we have put together a simple article on how to add or remove symbols from this section, so that you can customize them to your liking.

Adding Symbols

Here are the steps to add symbols to your Market Watch:

First, right-click anywhere within the Market Watch window.
Select Symbols.
Choose the symbol group of the instrument you would like to add. In general the categories you will find are:

• FOREX (majors, minors, exotics) for currency pairs like EURUSD
• METALS for metal pairs like XAUUSD
• ENERGIES for instruments like USOIL or UKOIL
• INDICES for indices such as US30

Double-click on the instrument(s) you would like to add to the Market Watch window. Alternatively, you may also click on the preferred instrument(s) and click Show.

Removing Symbols

Here are the steps to remove symbols from your Market Watch:

First, right-click on the symbol you wish to hide.
Select Hide.

Also keep in mind that having too many instruments in your Market Watch window can slow down your internet connectivity. Hiding them one by one can be tiresome. In such a case, you may:

Right-click anywhere in the Market Watch window > Select Hide All.
Now you may proceed to add instruments of your preference using the steps described earlier.
